A trademark can be sell & purchase on payment of a suitable amount. A person can purchase a trademark for his business. For the sale & purchase of a trademark, the registry has made provisions. For sale of a trademark an Assignment deed supported with the payment receipt, acknowledgement and the affidavit of the payment will be required to be filed before the trademark registry on Form TM-P. The Assignment deed must have the signatures and other requisite including with the transfer of Goodwill & Reputation in favour of the Assignee. On completion of due process, the trademark registry passes the orders of a successful assignment of a trademark in favour of the assignee.
